Azhar our Chairman spent the bank holiday weekend at the annual bog snorkelling championships at Llanwrtyd Wells.
Azhar ploughing through the murky bog The course is along a ditch in the bog and 120 metres long. It is very murky and very hard to keep straight in the narrow ditch. Azhar managed the course in a very respectable 2m 24s. The winner's time, who also broke the record this year, was 1m 30s. Azhar commented," 120 metres feels a lot further than 5 lengths in the pool, especially when you keep bumping into the sides. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the World Bog Snorkelling Championships and saw over 160 competitors take the challenge.
